Mission Life starts activities in Rio de Janeiro
With the support of pastors and brothers, sorting and recovery unit is installed with beggars in the city of Saquarema.
Some years ago the president of Life Mission projects the opening of a nucleus of Life Mission in the state of Rio de Janeiro, with the objective of assisting the homeless in the region. On April 1, this project became a reality.
Situated in the city of Rio de Janeiro Saquarema, 100 km from the capital, the unit is already in operation. With an initial capacity to 12 spaces in this period of reform and adaptation of facilities, six residents are already admitted to the recovery process.
The Screening Center in Rio de Janeiro was installed at a site in the Lake, rented to the institution until 2016 with possibility of extension. The monthly rent of $ 2,500 will be paid by some members of the Evangelical brothers Maranatha, which undertook to afford it during the contract period. The negotiations were mediated by Dr. Marcelo Bispo, lawyer, church member and representative of Mission Life in the RJ.
The core of Saquarema is under the coordination of Vinicius Norato Pastor, pastor of Mission who has starred in Life Recovery Center in Cocalzinho Beggars / GO and Screening Center in Sobradinho / DF, and is the wife of the staff coordinator, Michelly, and missionaries and Uziel Francisco. The missionary calling and desire to serve led these people to accept this challenge willingly and faith.
Pastor Vinicius had the opportunity to present Life in Mission churches of the city and the region and was pleased with the reception found. "We could feel the surprise and admiration for the work being done by the people of God and consider it a privilege and a blessing can rely on this core," he says. He said this is the first step to soon reach the active support of the institution. "I consider it something relevant, because it demonstrates that there is indeed a spiritual authority over the mission life and this ministry is sustained by God," he says.

The three main requirements of the unit at the moment are:
_ A complete sewage system, which is septic tank, filter and sink;
2_ A complete, boxes, returns, table microphones, wiring and harness. This item is important for more formal events such as worship or other settings;
3_ 10 wardrobes for the quarter of the inmates.
